Man was I bummed out when I saw the scores for Kizuna. I have a thing for action RPGs and the Wii is still lacking in this department. Kizuna isn’t going to fill that gap anytime soon. Worst of all, the producer has come out to admit they rushed the game and released an unfinished produce.
“I think we made the right choice in the game concept and in the way we tried new things. I’d like to keep that attitude going and continue making high-quality games, but I think I’d like to make them more complete products from now on.”
There’s more tantalizing details to read about what went wrong with this game. Maybe they’ll learn from their mistake and do better next time?

Heracles: Chariot Racing is actually a full PS2 game packed into a download game for WiiWare. That is very surprising, and it’s actually not a bad purchase either.

A new developer diary for The Grinder is out along with some new screens and videos. The screens and videos don’t really show off anything we haven’t seen before, but the developer diary is worth a read.

Another round of Iwata asks. More laughter, fun, and in-depth details on the development of this game. again, this is very long (in 8 parts) so you probably want to have some free time to read it all. It’s pretty funny too.
Yamashita: Originally, there were 12 sports, each of which had several modes available.
Shimamura: We had thought that this was sufficient in terms of the game content on offer…
Yamashita: But then there was the suggestion to consider adding another mode.
Iwata: Who was it who made that suggestion?
Yamashita: Well, it’s not something that a member of the team would have said. Of course it was… (laughs)
All: (laughs)
Miyamoto: It was you who said it, Iwata-san: “Add another one!”
Iwata: What?
Miyamoto: I told everyone that the President had said there still wasn’t enough game content and asked them what we were going to do about it.
Iwata: Now I get it… (laughs)
Yamashita: Well, it was a direct order from the President, so we didn’t have any alternative.
Shimamura: You’ve got no choice but to do it.
All: (laughter)
Iwata: Irrespective of what I may or may not have actually said! (laughs) What new modes did you add?
Shimamura: We added skydiving.
