A nice little interview with Hudson on all their WiiWare titles. and what their future plans are for the service as well as DSiWare.
Q: Why have you been so motivated to include online in many of your WiiWare games. Do you plan to continue to do so with future WW titles?
A: As customers purchase WiiWare titles via internet, we believe customers can enjoy our titles much deeply by including as many online features as possible such as an online battle mode and ranking leaderboards.

This interview is all about Mighty Flip Champs, but Shantae was brought up during the interview.
PG: It wouldn’t be fair of to conduct an interview with you guys without mentioning the incredibly popular Shantae. Are there any plans to resurrect this franchise in the future? Possibly on the DS, or maybe even as a DSiWare title?
Matt: We’re using Mighty Flip Champs as a way to gauge fan interest, and to see how the DSiWare service performs. We’d like to do a Shantae sequel for DSiWare.
Why!? What does Mighty Flip Champs have to do with Shantae? Also, why not WiiWare? I have nothing against DSi Ware, but WiiWare just allows for a little more room to create a beautifully animated 2D game!

Oh, it turns out the Korogashi Puzzle Katamari game isn’t a regular DS release, but more of a DSi release. Unfortunately, I won’t really be able to play DSi games since I’ve only owned a DS Lite for less than 6 months. I’ve been running the place with the old DS before.
