Ryu’s been framed with the murder of his friend/lover Irene, and now it is up to him to avenge his friend, uncover the truth, and really piss you off. Run, jump, slash, use ninja skills, and slash some more in this action platformer for the virtual console.

While Ninja Gaiden 3 is only the 3rd game in the series, by now, I was already more than bored with them. Whereas Ninja Gaiden 2 took the first game further by fixing everything that I didn’t like about it, this game is just more of the same. I honestly don’t think I would be as bored with it if it wasn’t so hard. Now wait a minute, I’ve reviewed some pretty hard games before, and not once did I complain about too hard; and I even docked points from Fire Emblem Sword of Seals for not being hard enough! So why am I bellyaching about Ninja Gaiden 3 then?

Soma Bringer Preview

Soma Bringer has arrived and I was able to play a good 2 hours of the game. I guess that should be enough for a quick little hands-on preview. I stayed away from all information so I could experience a minty fresh game. Despite the short playtime, the game’s focus on customization was immediately apparent.

I remember the fond memories of seeing Harvest Moon in an issue of Nintendo Power. It’s unique premise of running a farm had never been done before. While everyone else eagerly awaits Mario Kart 64, I was drooling over Harvest Moon. What was once a tiny niche title coming out at the twilight of the 16 bit era has become a full fledged big time franchise. With a gentle squeeze of those Marvelous udders came fresh milk in the form of Rune Factory. Today, we’re going to take a look at this Virtual Console release of the game that started it all.

In all seriousness, Figure Skating if an extremely hard sport, and it would be interesting to see how it’ll translate into a Video Game. Since all we have are screens, we won’t know until I get hands-on with it.
